An area of specialism is catalogue and direct marketing, being actively involved in projects from the sourcing of products, through to design, print and distribution. His knowledge, skill and enthusiasm ensures that projects are managed cost efficiently and deliver successful results.
Initially he worked on the media owner side with The Daily Record & STV before switching to Advertising Agencies. David worked for IDK Media (part of the WPP Group) before a 12 year stint at Leo Burnett, where he became Media Director & then MD of the newly formed Starcom Media Group The clients he managed included P&G, McDonald’s, H.J. Heinz, Lego and United Biscuits.
In 2003 David was appointed by Ofcom to be the first Advertising Adjudicator. He returned to Scotland in 2007 as Commercial Director of STV and began working as a business consultant in 2011.
David is a very experienced manager, presenter & business pitcher, with an excellent reputation for creative solutions and negotiations.
